Family Tours for Incoming Kindergarteners

In Person School Tours are Back!

Enrollment and Kindergarten Tours

Registration opens January 3, 2023 for the 2023-24 school year. February 1 – 28 is the SPS Open Enrollment window.

B.F. Day will be hosting incoming kindergarten tours on the following dates:

• January 10 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
• January 26 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
• February 2 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.

New Families with non-kindergarten students can come on the tours. The tours are geared toward Kinder families but we can adapt as needed. We look forward to you joining us!

Resource Information

Students in kindergarten – fifth grade do not need to re-enroll for the 2023-2024 school year. They will be promoted to the next grade level at B.F. Day. If you know that your family will be moving or changing schools in the 2023-2024 school year, please email Ms. Sonja at smhaas@seattleschools.org. This information helps us in our preliminary budget and staffing process.

Current SPP+ families, if you are seeking to attend Seattle Public Schools for kindergarten, you must enroll your child in kindergarten. We always encourage enrolling early!

Applications for Seattle Preschool Program (SPP) open March 15 for the 2023 – 2024 school year. B.F. Day historically has a long wait list for our two SPP+ classes. Interested incoming preschool families, please mark your calendars for March 15, 2023.

Visit the Seattle Education Parent and Child Program site for more information on how to register for preschool at B.F. Day. All preschool registration is managed through the Department of Early Learning.
