B.F. Day Elementary Leadership Announcement

Summary : Ms. Kristen Eckert will serve as interim principal at B.F. Day beginning July 1.

Ms. Kristen Eckert will serve as interim principal at B.F. Day beginning July 1

Principal Natalie Zisko has resigned from B.F. Day effective June 30, 2025.

Looking ahead, Ms. Kristen Eckert will serve as interim principal at B.F. Day beginning July 1. Families and staff should look forward to hearing from Principal Eckert soon as she begins her new role.

Principal Eckert brings a wealth of experience in education and administration, including nine years as an assistant principal for Seattle Public Schools.

I understand that changes like this can be difficult. I am confident Principal Eckert will step in and provide effective leadership to maintain daily school operations. In her role as interim school leader, she will support the continued success of students, staff, and families.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Principal Zisko for her amazing leadership and dedication to the B.F. Day community.

We understand change can be difficult, especially regarding staffing. Thank you for your patience and support during this transitional period. You can expect to hear from us about student enrollment in the coming days.

We look forward to working together to ensure the continued success and well-being of our students.

Sincerely,

Fred Podesta

Acting Superintendent
