What’s Spring Fling “Old Holiday” at B.F. Day? It brings BF Day families, staff, and neighbors together for an evening of fun, connection, and school spirit. Your participation helps the PTSA support classroom learning and student activities all year long. It is the ultimate adult night out! Come join us for a fun night to dress up in your old Hollywood outfit, eat, drink, see live entertainment, dance and support our school with a silent auction and raffle. An Art Project Silent Auction will open the Monday before the Event and close the evening of the Events. More info to come on how to bid if you are not there in person! For the 26-27 school year, SPS is enforcing a $250K cap on funds that are paid directly to the school for staffing and events. Due to the cap, the PTSA is proposing that classroom books and supplies are no longer funded by the PTSA (parents can still fund directly) and that enrichment funding for arts and music is reduced. This is necessary to keep a full time counselor on staff throughout the year. More details regarding the budget will be shared during the general membership meeting.
Details
- 1.0 Counselor (+$67K PTSA funds 0.5, SPS funds 0.5)
- Books/Supplies Parent Funded vs PTSA Funded (-$15K)
- Enrichments Reduced (-$11K)

The PTSA helps to recruit volunteers for the many events we facilitate. There is no minimum time commitment required. The goal of this contact list is to help grow the community of engaged families and friends, and to allow you to stay connected with B. F. Day PTSA. Reach out to president@bfdayptsa.org if you’re able to volunteer and would like more information about PTSA events.
Here are some of the ways in the past that you can be involved without the commitment of a board role:
- Popsicle Social Committee (August)
- “Warm Welcome Rep” for Preschool Playdate (August)
- “Warm Welcome Rep” for Kinder Playdate (August)
- Food Drive Committee (January)
- Spring Fling Committee (Jan – Mar)
- Move-A-Thon Committee (April – May)
- 5th Grade Trip Committee
Who We Are

We are families, students, staff, community leaders, and teachers who work for the success of each student learner. The B.F. Day PTSA is made up of volunteers from the B.F. Day Family, including parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders, volunteers, and friends of BF Day. We raise funds each year to support the programs the students love the most.
