SAVE THE DATE! Our first annual Spring Music Showcase will take place on Thursday, May 21 at Lincoln HS!
We are so excited to try out a larger, more professional performance space with room enough for our whole community to gather and celebrate our BF Day musicians this year. Tentative call time for musicians is 5:30 p.m., with the show set to begin at 6 p.m. Keep checking the Dayette for more information after Spring Break.

Grade levels will be taking walking field trips to Lincoln during the school day to practice on the big stage.

Be on the lookout for more information from your child’s teacher (permission slip, chaperone request, etc.) when we return from Spring Break.

We are looking forward to welcoming our entire BF Day community in this beautiful space that better accommodates all our families for the evening event. Students are excited to share what they’ve been learning in music class this year! We will have special guests and a memorable grand finale that you won’t want to miss.

We also need some big strong adults with big vehicles to help schlep instruments (xylophones, drums, ukuleles, etc.) from BF Day to Lincoln on Tuesday May 19 after school, and also back to BF Day on Thursday evening after the showcase. If you are able to help, please sign up on the event’s sign up genius.

SUMMER MUSIC OPPORTUNITY: The Summer Music website is now open for registration via this link: Seattle Public Schools Summer Music Program 2026. This site has information about the program, as well as dates/times and locations for this year. The Seattle Public Schools’ Summer Music Program is for band and orchestra students entering grades 5-9 and Seattle All-City Band is for students in the graduating classes of 2025-2029 that participate in upwards of 20 parades and community celebrations throughout the summer.
