The Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) is given to third – fifth grade students at the end of each school year. SBA measures student progress and understanding to the Common Core State Standards. At B.F. Day, we use the data generated from SBA to determine instructional strengths and needs, and we reflect on our data comparative to district trends and local comparable schools. While the SBA is only one measure of student achievement, it is important for us that students try their best. Families will receive score reports on their child’s performance.
