    Parent Chat with the Principals

Mr. Jaskot and Dr. Zisko will be hosting a parent night on Tuesday, March 23 at 8:00 p.m. We will provide the most up to date information as we currently know for in-person and remote learning. We will answer questions from families.

    In-Person Timeline

All families will receive a survey requesting their intention for the remainder of the year. Families will be offered a 100% remote model, or may select to resume in-person (half day, four days per week). The in-person instruction is considered a hybrid model, balancing in-person learning with remote learning.

We had a successful return of our Pre-K students at the in-person outdoor learning pilot on Tuesday and Thursday of this week. Students and staff had three hours of learning on the playground each day. We expect Pre-K outdoor learning to continue as planned next week. On Monday, March 29, we welcome back students enrolled in SPP+ and Special Education intensive pathways for in-person learning.

On Monday, April 5, we welcome back all K – 5th grade students whose families have chosen to return in-person. As we receive results to the in-person family surveys, we will begin the task of creating am/pm cohorts. As soon as we are able, we will notify you of your child’s assignment. In-person learning will occur half day for each student (am or pm) M, T, Th, F. There will be about two hours of remote instruction on Wednesdays. Teachers will spend the remaining part of Wednesday in planning and preparation time.

Teachers and staff will be returning to on-campus work over the course of the next two weeks. Administrators and front office staff will be on campus every school day March 22 – April 2. As we train staff on the new safety protocols, please be aware that students’ remote instruction will be supplanted with asynchronous activities for three days. During these three days, your child’s teacher(s) will be in training. Below is a more detailed schedule of the upcoming changes to remote learning:

Monday, March 22 – Wednesday, March 24: SPP+ and SpEd intensive teachers return to campus for training. Synchronous services for SPP+ and SpEd intensive students are suspended during these days. Students will receive asynchronous instruction. There is no change to remote learning for students not enrolled in SPP+ or SpEd intensive services.

Thursday, March 25 – Friday, March 26: Remote teaching for students enrolled in SPP+ and SpEd intensive services resumes. There is no change to remote instruction for students not enrolled in SPP+ or SpEd intensive services.

Monday, March 29: SPP+ and SpEd intensive students begin on campus services (half days; M, T, Th, F).

Monday, March 29 – Wednesday, March 31: All other K-5 staff return to campus for training. Synchronous services are suspended during these days. K-5 students will receive asynchronous instruction for these three days.

Thursday, April 1 - Friday, April 2: All staff report to school to work in building. Remote instruction resumes for K-5. SPP+ and SpEd intensive continue in-person services.

Monday, April 5: All students that have selected in-person learning will come back to campus in assigned am/pm cohorts (M, T, Th, F).

*Note: Beginning Monday, April 5 campus will be closed on Wednesdays for cleaning. All staff, including administrators and office staff, will work remotely on Wednesdays.
